Slowly I'm losing interest in my Assassin, and I have put well over 700k+ worth into him as well as him being my very first ever character. I've tried Scythes, i've tried Deadly Arts. I've farmed from the Raptors to UW to Hekets.. I have full ancients+blindfold at the moment, but that's not helping matters, seeing as I've had that outfit for months. I've used moebius builds, crit scythe builds, deadly arts builds, shadow arts builds (all the popular ones) but I get bored of them real quick.

Also, money's not an issue- well, it may be if someone mentions FoW armor- not that rich.

In essence, what I'm pretty much asking for is help on reconstructing my assassin, Corrupted Shadowz.

1. New Build
2. Makeover (New armor)
3. New weapon set (Currently using Zealous Celestial Daggers of Enchanting)

1. try creating your own build it ends up being much more enjoyable and fun as oppose to using a build someone else creates regardless of efficiency or dps

2. if you have eotn i would suggest norn or monument(ebon vanguard) armors

3. cant suggest any specific dagger skin since i mostly care about the mods

1. I created my own builds, but I also enjoy seeing what other people can come up with.

2. Norn armor looks pretty sweet, but if It's not dyed black, it has a nylon nut-hugging kind of look to it underneath the armor.

3. I was actually asking for Mods+Skin for the build that would be posted, sorry =P

It largely depends on which facet of GW you enjoy the most.

For me, that's AB, my method to rekindle interest in my Sin is:

- roll a Warrior
- /rage at the lack of speed with which he takes targets down

i got my sin back into the game by playing Shattering Assault (and variations) in pvp, and buying him some new threads (15k Canthan, all black), then got him so new daggers (the new glass looking ones, from the design contest.). i used to use Dragon Scythes (or w/e they're called now) dyed black, and still do for my zealous set, but the new daggers replaced my elemental set.

maybe that could help.. idk. the games getting stale for me too, so i tend to just play junk.

for armor i have an armor set that consists of :
Black dyed mask of the mo zing
Black dyed ancient chest
Black dyed vabbian gloves
Black dyed vabbian legs
Black dyed vabbian feet

and the weapon i use are the norn daggers dyed black because they are on of the biggest and look cool.

Don't play him for 3 months, then play pvp to see how awesome he is and play again.

That's how I got my interest in playing my Ranger again. Too bad that thanks to carebears I don't want to play him again ('cause he can't get even into trap teams with r2 norn ;d).

Try a theme. What got me back into playing my sin was a number of things. First, as Bobby said, try playing something else that is slow and ponderous (i.e. anything), and you'll be right back with the sin.

Also, I'm not much of a hardcore PvPer, sure I've done HA and all that, but my guild isn't presently into GvG much, so when I do PvP, I AB mostly, as I find it much more fun and entertaining than RA/TA.

But I've found that staying on one character too long can be a detriment, try playing a Dervish, or Elementalist or something on the side for when you're not playing the sin, I've found I really enjoy the Ritualist class due to its versatility and various play styles.

As for build, try things that people don't expect, my favorite thing in AB is using builds that people don't think are viable, and then imagining the look of surprise and horror on their face as their character turns about face and runs for the hills! You can almost see it when they are desperately trying to cast or attack, and then all of a sudden turn and run, very satisfying. Even more so when you catch up to them and slit their throats.

As for a makeover, my sin originally had 1.5k Canthan, then I upgraded to Vabbian (full) and added the FoW boots and gloves. Almost have enough ecto to get the rest of FoW, only 29 more lol. But I will say that Vabbian chest and legs dyed black, with FoW boots and gloves dyed black, and an ancient mask dyed black is very "ninja-esque" but I've decided of late to go a more colorful route, black is so boring and par for the course.

For weapons, nothing beats Shiro's lol. I know people hate the 13 req, but they're badass anyways, and the only vamp set I use. I also have zealous Dragon Scythes and Ebon Zodiacs, my fourth weapon is alternate, usually for farming (either a regular earth staff or an caster ele sword with an inspiration offhand). But there are a lot of cool skins out there, and since sins are not part of the holy trinity (war, ele, monk) gear is usually cheaper than equivalent ones for other classes.

But, while I disagree with ANet's implementation of the HoM, it does provide an incentive to keep going, so perhaps do more dungeon runs for onyx gemstones and fill out your destroyer case, or title grind for the title display.

In all honesty, I've found that the sin class is one of the most versatile between PvP, PvE, and farming, which is why he's also my title farmer. What can also be fun is group chest running, back in the day when Raisu runs were profitable (oni blades and golden phoenix blades) most of my sin's 3000 deaths came from doing those runs in 8 man groups. The social aspect of this game has been killed somewhat by the prevalence of H/H and certain elite PvE skills, but with a little player injection, its a simple matter to get it back. Cooperative PvE can be more fun than any other mode, especially if its just for poops and giigles!

Ok, just continue playing him, dont wory about this feeling, It will go away at a point, grind him a lot of titles, play him all the time, ignore that feeling, it is normal to have at a point of playing primerely one character.

As for makeup, first of all run [assassins promise] PvE spiker, great build, fun...different.

Change you armor, you look like a christmas tree now...burnt one...my first armor was Encient too and I got pretty tired of it. Good armor peaces for Assassin are only those that dont have all those useless decorative daggers stuck to them so you look like a knife rack.

As for the weapon set get yourself a pair of Demonic Fangs or any other pair of expencive Daggers.

AND AGAIN, GRIND HIM TITLES, A LOT OF THEM NON STOP! It must help.
